GovAI Contracts is a free, independent index of federal AI and machine-learning contract awards we can identify in the public record.
Where the data comes from
Award data comes from USAspending.gov; open opportunities (pre-award RFPs and sources sought) come from SAM.gov. Both are in the public domain. We filter for AI-relevant NAICS codes (541511, 541512, 541513, 541519, 541715, 518210) and require an explicit AI/ML keyword match so the dataset stays focused.
How fresh is it?
The dataset rebuilds automatically every 6 hours via a scheduled GitHub Actions cron. Last refresh: Jul 3, 2026.
